Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Aurel Crivoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Aurel Crivoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Hugo in the 17th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Jaspar Van Den Broeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Crivoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Brugge United's Goffrey Sas was substituted for Guido Vissenaeken. After a defensive mix-up in Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's zone, Goffrey Sas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurel Crivoi came out of the goal and Goffrey Sas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurel Crivoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ümit Karan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Hugo. In the 84thth minute of the game Goffrey Sas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Aurel Crivoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnauld Van Impe took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurel Crivoi. Aurel Crivoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The supporters of Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waud Huijbrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ümit Karan took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurel Crivoi. Aurel Crivoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brugge United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK for a fine match.
