Edwin Devine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Delabarre, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Cosimo Sciamanna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Real Cartagena's Chus Ayarza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Rego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute Hugo Flecken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Devine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chus Ayarza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Josué Rego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harris Geraets in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Rego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Real Cartagena made a substitution. Rioja Pedrueca replaced Wictor Vestberg. Edwin Devine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Flecken in the 96th minute of the match.
