Remus Pinches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taras Romanchuk got free with Remus Pinches in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Florentino Dimas in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fundação Marques dos Reis's Andreas Maxsø. After a rather tough play, Diablos Rojos's Ulrik Sillén got a free kick in the 45th minute. Fundação Marques dos Reis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wesly Goemyne in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

55 minutes into the game, Fundação Marques dos Reis's Alexandre Pacheco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remus Pinches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Diablos Rojos's Jose-Antonio Capon was substituted for Xu Guang Peng. A sloppy throw-in by Florentino Dimas in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fundação Marques dos Reis's Andreas Maxsø. 65 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Maxsø came free, but Remus Pinches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andreas Maxsø took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remus Pinches. Remus Pinches dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Remus Pinches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taras Romanchuk in the 72nd minute of the match. Taras Romanchuk took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remus Pinches. Remus Pinches dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Taras Romanchuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Pinches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Yao Bin Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 唐沙旭 in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Taras Romanchuk made a precise shot to the right of Remus Pinches. Diablos Rojos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. If 唐沙旭 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Taras Romanchuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute, Taras Romanchuk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remus Pinches was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 93rd minute, Taras Romanchuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fundação Marques dos Reis made a substitution. Diogo Cabral replaced Juninho Pernambucano. After 98 minutes, Andreas Maxsø mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fundação Marques dos Reis and the Diablos Rojos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 99 minutes, Thomás Vollmar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomás Vollmar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Diablos Rojos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fundação Marques dos Reis.
