Yenal Tanır could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Gonzo Maradona made a huge save. With a little luck, Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona got control of the ball when Alex Acatincăi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armando Gazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Tipi in the 8th minute of the match. Armando Gazza came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Tigres's Leonardo Tipi. But to his dismay, Leonardo Tipi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Messias in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Les Tigres booed when Juventus PTM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Acatincăi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Les Tigres's Serafino Pestaña got a free kick in the 16th minute. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Les Tigres from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute Leonardo Tipi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Gazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Ilieș got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Yenal Tanır. 30 minutes into the game, Leonardo Tipi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Armando Gazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Yenal Tanır reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gonzo Maradona. The goal made the score 2-2. Les Tigres's Leonardo Tipi got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Gazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Tipi, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, Leonardo Tipi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Les Tigres made a substitution. Rodolfo Luken replaced Silvano Ihazintu. The wind increased when Ömer-Asaf Güneş made the kick off in the second half. Armando Gazza made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Edvard Võsandi sent off a good shot on target. Gonzo Maradona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yenal Tanır in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Les Tigres getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luboš Štencl hit a great ball. Armando Gazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer-Asaf Güneş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Alex Acatincăi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Maradona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömer-Asaf Güneş in the 93rd minute of play forced Juventus PTM's goalkeeper Armando Gazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzo Maradona came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Juventus PTM's Ferdinand Honcioiu. But to his dismay, Ferdinand Honcioiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Les Tigres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
