Ruud van Nistelrooij could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Andréas Linquist made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 25th minute of play forced Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Underdogs's Slawomir Cuber got a free kick in the 27th minute. Underdogs's Brak Gola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 28th minute of play. Brak Gola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gedeon Káposztás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Grêmio Papão de WC booed when Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Olszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Lasse Penttilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Underdogs's Ruud van Nistelrooij slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andréas Linquist. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Underdogs:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grêmio Papão de WC:s goal. Brak Gola had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Gedeon Káposztás's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apostolis Arvanitoyannis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruud van Nistelrooij to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Underdogs's Brak Gola got control of the ball when Gedeon Káposztás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brak Gola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 54th minute. Underdogs's Reşat Orgunalp was substituted for Konstanty Orszak. After 57 played minutes Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Filip Olszewski. Grêmio Papão de WC made a substitution. Filip Mika replaced Selman Pektaşi. Brak Gola was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcus de Godoi.
