An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Roland in the 15th minute of play forced KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emilio Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wessel Bos in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Vitin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Naike, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Naike got free with Emilio Shepherd in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emilio Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Naike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wessel Bos in the 44th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Borys Karaszkiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elpidio Vitin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Elpidio Vitin was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
