In the 24th minute Xu Li Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Buzincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Eugen Carabulea hit a great ball. Alex Buzincu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chico de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute Chico de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Buzincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Buzincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Li Sang in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xu Li Sang in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Alex Buzincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Carabulea in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Li Sang got free with Alex Buzincu in the 127th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serginho Sabóia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 131st minute of the match, but Alex Buzincu made a huge save. Defensive play by both the teams in the second half of extra-time meant the match finished 0-0. The game would now be decided on penalties.

In the 133rd minute there was a penalty for Jovens Democratas MZC. Xu Li Sang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alex Buzincu. 0-1. Jovens Democratas MZC:s Dalmo Saldanha showed great skill when he stopped Ionuț Năsturel:s penalty. Dalmo Saldanha had in the 136thth minute some difficulties stopping Dobromir Zagrodny's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 142nd minute there was a penalty for FC Buzău. Panait Aluneanu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dalmo Saldanha. 2-2. In the 144th minute there was a penalty for Jovens Democratas MZC. Mümtazer Kutlan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alex Buzincu. 2-3. Jovens Democratas MZC:s Dalmo Saldanha showed great skill when he stopped George Ţiţeica:s penalty. George Ţiţeica's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Dalmo Saldanha - 3-3 was put on the score board in the 145th minute. Dalmo Saldanha had in the 147thth minute some difficulties stopping Alex Buzincu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Alex Buzincu shot a long shot in the 147th minute and a light blocked Dalmo Saldanha hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 4-3.
