Apat Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Berceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute, José Paulo Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Nicolae Ghiorman. Poli AEK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 38 played minutes Retumbante FC got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Galvão. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Retumbante FC made a substitution. Jarbas Dantas replaced Basílio Cearense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Paulo Mendonça made a kick off. Cordairo Carrasco hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes of play, Retumbante FC's José Paulo Mendonça made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolae Ghiorman was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kauã Mandrak in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolae Ghiorman saved Poli AEK from getting behind. A collision led to Poli AEK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Wictor Brovall hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes, Retumbante FC's Kauã Mandrak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Retumbante FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 66th minute of play forced Poli AEK's goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Cordairo Carrasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poli AEK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retumbante FC the free kick. A collision led to Poli AEK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Cordairo Carrasco hit a great ball. Nicolae Ghiorman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute of the match Retumbante FC got a corner. Poli AEK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kauã Mandrak ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Frank Gonçalves at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Poli AEK. 4-0. After 75 played minutes Poli AEK got a freekick which was hit by Cordairo Carrasco. 77 minutes into the match, Poli AEK's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Mandrak came free, but Nicolae Ghiorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Poli AEK's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Mendonça came free, but Nicolae Ghiorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kauã Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Retumbante FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
