Despite this Ricardinho Aguiar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ricardinho Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Paranaense in the 9th minute of play. When Nova Venécia-ES's Leonel Paranaense in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Nova Venécia-ES fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Nova Venécia-ES's Luís Gustavo Botelho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leonel Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardinho Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Ricardinho Aguiar managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Nova Venécia-ES's Natã Quintal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Geovanni Neiva hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Valdo Diniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardinho Aguiar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardinho Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ricardinho Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Quintal in the 76th minute of the match.
