Kiki Monginsidi started the match with the kick off. A collision led to SCs StarS getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Co Scholten hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Gol in the 6th minute of play forced LeicestersKickers's goalkeeper Janne Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak got control of the ball when Thiago Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save LeicestersKickers from getting a goal against them. Thiago Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janne Oblak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes LeicestersKickers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florian Hekman who took care of the corner kick. Florian Hekman made a great header on SCs StarS's corner, it was just that LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 20th minute John Kellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Thiago Gol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Janne Oblak. Thiago Gol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some careless play in the SCs StarS defense, Kiki Monginsidi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petr Čech. The SCs StarS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petr Čech should have stopped the shot. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiki Monginsidi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, LeicestersKickers's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Janne Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janne Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Gol in the 36th minute of play. Thiago Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janne Oblak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Janne Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of LeicestersKickers booed when SCs StarS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Zijden didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Thiago Gol notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak. Janne Oblak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Thiago Gol made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Thiago Gol sped through LeicestersKickers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Janne Oblak. Janne Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cristóvão de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, LeicestersKickers's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Hekman came free, but Janne Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Florian Hekman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janne Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kiki Monginsidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Petr Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Gol in the 73rd minute of play. André Zander hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Edgar Reitsema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janne Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Sebastian Engman struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Petr Čech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LeicestersKickers. In the 91stth minute of the game Kiki Monginsidi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCs StarS's Petr Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Kellbom got free with Petr Čech in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LeicestersKickers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
