The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, FC Nereta's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Rioja came free, but Izidors Boldāns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Geo-Winner's corner Veniamin Gorshkov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Izidors Boldāns quite easily take care of the ball. In the 8th minute, Rostislav Kravets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Maksim Dunaevskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geo-Winner's supporters rose to their feet, but Maksim Dunaevskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Izidors Boldāns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Rioja in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Izidors Boldāns saved FC Nereta from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Rioja in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Izidors Boldāns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Cesar Rioja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izidors Boldāns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Maksim Dunaevskiy made a precise shot to the right of Izidors Boldāns. FC Nereta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 22nd minute Maksim Dunaevskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izidors Boldāns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes FC Nereta got a freekick which was hit by Antons Pētersons. 25 minutes into the match, Geo-Winner's Veniamin Gorshkov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 29th minute, Geo-Winner's Vadim Kovrov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vadim Kovrov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Geo-Winner protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vadim Kovrov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Drosmis Skipors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Mareks Blumbergs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergey Sabadash. That made the score 1-1 in the 33 minute of play. Drosmis Skipors made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aivils Burss immediately put the ball in play. Geo-Winner's Sergey Sabadash proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Geo-Winner from getting a goal against them. Rostislav Kravets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Izidors Boldāns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georgiy Halanskiy made a kick off. Rostislav Kravets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maksim Dunaevskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Izidors Boldāns made a huge save. The supporters of FC Nereta booed when Geo-Winner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klim Rebrovskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Geo-Winner's Maksim Dunaevskiy made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Izidors Boldāns was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match it was 1-3 when Veniamin Gorshkov shot a long shot which zipped by FC Nereta's goalkeeper at the right pole. Geo-Winner made a substitution. Petr Klimovskiy replaced Mateusz Bochinski. Mateusz Bochinski hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 81st minute of the game was made by Raimonds Vitals with Aivils Burss as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A sloppy throw-in by Drosmis Skipors in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Geo-Winner's Rostislav Kravets. FC Nereta's Izidors Boldāns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nereta from getting a goal against them. Maksim Dunaevskiy took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Izidors Boldāns. Izidors Boldāns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Rostislav Kravets took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Izidors Boldāns. Geo-Winner's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
