Despite this Afiz Ching quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Afiz Ching took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordão Sesimbra charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordão Sesimbra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afiz Ching showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordy Dirks, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 10 minutes of play, SCs StarS's Jordy Dirks made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afiz Ching was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the game, Brett Cordrey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petr Čech. Brett Cordrey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some careless play in the SCs StarS defense, Brett Cordrey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petr Čech. The SCs StarS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petr Čech should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Bolivar getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Senijad Ibričić hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brett Cordrey got free with Petr Čech in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afiz Ching showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Hekman in the 35th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Bolivar got a freekick which was hit by Rund Boll. 43 minutes into the match, Bolivar's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Afiz Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Thiago Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afiz Ching saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tedj Sellal got free with Petr Čech in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thiago Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivar's zone, Jordy Dirks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afiz Ching came out of the goal and Jordy Dirks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the game, Senijad Ibričić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Petr Čech was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brett Cordrey in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Čech prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute of the match, Thiago Gol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afiz Ching saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Florian Hekman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afiz Ching having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Gol in the 83rd minute of play forced Bolivar's goalkeeper Afiz Ching to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tedj Sellal, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
