FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metin Semi in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Rogozea came free, but Abelardo Lesardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugen Carabulea struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Abelardo Lesardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Buzău. 19 minutes into the game, Babür Gürgen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alex Buzincu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Panait Aluneanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Lesardo having to interfere. Alex Buzincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarık Sehhar in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Babür Gürgen came free, but Alex Buzincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Babür Gürgen might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Buzincu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Babür Gürgen ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Buzincu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babür Gürgen, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Babür Gürgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex Buzincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babür Gürgen in the 32nd minute of the match. Babür Gürgen might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Buzincu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Babür Gürgen ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Buzincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babür Gürgen in the 36th minute of the match. Eugen Carabulea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Lesardo having to make a save. Abelardo Lesardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Iriza in the 44th minute of play. Abelardo Lesardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Ţiţeica in the 46th minute of play. Abelardo Lesardo was a little too slow when Andrei Rogozea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Babür Gürgen made a kick off. Mihăiţă Iriza took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Lesardo. Abelardo Lesardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 59th minute, LOI's Babür Gürgen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Buzincu. Alex Buzincu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. 64 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Rogozea came free, but Abelardo Lesardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarık Sehhar hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarık Sehhar to maneuver through the defense. Alex Buzincu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Thidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute Panait Aluneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Lesardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Thidén in the 80th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Alex Buzincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to LOI getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rickard Thidén hit a great ball. LOI's Faruk Bucuklu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eric Dică in the 85 minute of the game. Eric Dică kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rickard Thidén's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Buzincu was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Eric Dică hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes, LOI's Hikmet Şafakgün shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alex Buzincu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LOI reached it. In the 95th minute Rickard Thidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Buzincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickard Thidén was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Alex Buzincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarık Sehhar in the 98th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Hikmet Şafakgün got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alex Buzincu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The LOI players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FC Buzău from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
