Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Murguia in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Fuica saved ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Cruz in the 27th minute of play forced ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Edgardo Fuica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Eloi Lantaron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Oswaldo Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute, Márcio Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Fuica. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrinho Hoffmann to make the kick off. Oswaldo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloi Lantaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Pedrinho Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Edgardo Fuica made a huge save. After 59 played minutes Atlético-PR got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Hoffmann. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Giovanni Giorno was substituted for Urti Asturiano. Atlético-PR's Cacá Breckenfeld was substituted for Eugênio Azevedo. 63 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Ximenes Arganzua came free, but Oswaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ximenes Arganzua in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Atlético-PR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zernin Mendivil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hong Jian Fan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zernin Mendivil during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zernin Mendivil to maneuver through the defense. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenes Arganzua in the 90th minute of play. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ximenes Arganzua in the 90th minute of the match. Edgardo Fuica came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético-PR's Hong Jian Fan. But to his dismay, Hong Jian Fan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Atlético-PR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético-PR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
