Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damaso Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Congo Bongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damaso Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Massó having to make a save. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PLUMIN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
