Generoso Nazario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Branislav Velchevski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Defensores de Fasano's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Jean-Philippe Al Abdullah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Deutsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Roland Deutsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Deutsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Defensores de Fasano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
