Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernan Crespo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Esteban Txerran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rafael Fix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 8 minutes, Esteban Txerran made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's Rafael Fix tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornelio Cesaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Jorge Iribarren made a huge save. After having played for 15 minutes, Cornelio Cesaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Cesaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Iribarren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cornelio Cesaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Jorge Iribarren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Maropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Fix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jorge Iribarren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornelio Cesaro. Jorge Iribarren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Maropoulos's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Jorge Iribarren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Maropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Iribarren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Stanislao in the 45th minute of play forced Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's goalkeeper Rafael Fix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Dimitris Maropoulos took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Jorge Iribarren to make any attempt to save it. Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's Americo Montrel was substituted for Cornelio Cesaro. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Stanislao stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, Pan Queso y Leberbush FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Montrel to maneuver through the defense. If Dimitris Maropoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Maropoulos came free, but Jorge Iribarren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Dimitris Maropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iribarren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ioseba Llorente during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's attentive Ioseba Llorente managed to snatch the ball when Roberto Perfumo made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. When Marc Almstedt came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Pan Queso y Leberbush FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Almstedt couldn't finish the play. Ioseba Llorente hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match.
