Martin Leheren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gonzalo Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marcial Orlandus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Nando Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Paulo Pierres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Leheren was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Guanacos's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Tingelholm came free, but Marcial Orlandus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcial Orlandus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Tingelholm in the 29th minute of play. Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Talleres de Escalada from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Erubiel Laurgain in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Talleres de Escalada's Jonny Saran. Guanacos's Marcial Orlandus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Argider in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Ekaitz in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Leheren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Hug was slow to take the kick. During this time Guanacos's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Marcelo Mendebal managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Argider in the 44th minute of play forced Guanacos's goalkeeper Marcial Orlandus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Orlandus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rigoberto Argider's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. A collision led to Guanacos getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Erubiel Laurgain hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Argider stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Talleres de Escalada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Hug who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Guanacos's Ricardo Ekaitz to a score. 2-1 in the 54th minute. Rigoberto Argider succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 58th playminute. The supporters of Talleres de Escalada booed when Guanacos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Talleres de Escalada got a corner. Guanacos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thibault Moon ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Sait Baray drilling the ball in to score 2-3 behind Guanacos's goalkeeper. 79 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Argider had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Orlandus. Guanacos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Argider was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Martin Leheren came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Guanacos's Paulo Pierres. But to his dismay, Paulo Pierres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. In the 92nd minute of the match Guanacos got a corner. Talleres de Escalada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Hug ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Guanacos's corner Ricardo Hug fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Leheren quite easily take care of the ball. Talleres de Escalada's Jonas Tingelholm managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arnoldo Tonete in the 94 minute of the game. Eustaquio Martxelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Leheren having to interfere. Although Guanacos had been in control for most of the match, Talleres de Escalada still came away with the win.
