The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Kusko helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Municipales FC got a freekick which was hit by Andres D'Alessandro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rene Aires in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rene Aires received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edvin van der Sar came out and tried to block the shot, but Rene Aires slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. If Rene Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Municipales FC's Edvin van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Municipales FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Municipales FC's zone, Bruno Medero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvin van der Sar came out of the goal and Bruno Medero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmir Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th match minute, Municipales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Jaunti to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Municipales FC's Francisco Vincente was substituted for Raul Jaunti. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Quintun made a kick off. Walmir Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Quintun in the 53rd minute. Felix Kusko made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Raimundo Intxixu however managed to control. Edgardo Quintun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Walmir Catarinense made a huge save. Edvin van der Sar came out of the goal and Rene Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute Rene Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Aires came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hıdır Namal got in the 85th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Edvin van der Sar handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Clodoveo Christobal put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edvin van der Sar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hıdır Namal in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Loco De Remate had played much better football throughout.
