With a left leg Dawid Ratulowski saved Red Reign from getting behind. After 5 minutes, Adolfo Gombal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo and the Red Reign players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Gombal to maneuver through the defense. Thibaut Vandamme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Villamarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Alvaro Ramiréz in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red Reign's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Adolfo Gombal in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Red Reign's Armando Hera. If Alvaro Ramiréz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Red Reign's Dawid Ratulowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Ramiréz in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Alvaro Ramiréz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Adolfo Gombal got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Maximo Villamarin sped through Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thibaut Vandamme. Thibaut Vandamme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Villamarin in the 26th minute of the match. Alvaro Ramiréz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Wincenty Szel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Adolfo Gombal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 31st match minute, Red Reign was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Hera to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Maximo Villamarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thibaut Vandamme was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo booed when Red Reign was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Hera didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Alvaro Ramiréz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dawid Ratulowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Alvaro Ramiréz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Juli Alvarez made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Juli Alvarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Juli Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Juli Alvarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dawid Ratulowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Maximo Villamarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thibaut Vandamme. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Villamarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's attentive Adolfo Gombal managed to snatch the ball when Kaviedes Fuentecilla made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. When Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin, in the 73rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Red Reign. A collision led to Red Reign getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Fanis Tsangaris hit a great ball. Dawid Ratulowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juli Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Juli Alvarez might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dawid Ratulowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juli Alvarez ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Cerdeño made in the 91st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Maximo Villamarin immediately put the ball in play. Juli Alvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dawid Ratulowski made a huge save. The Red Reign players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
