With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wojciech Pachucki in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Wel Lidzbark were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeff Bezos took the corner. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Wel Lidzbark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damazy Mierzejewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wojciech Pachucki was the one to do the kick off. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
