A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Liu Chao Xiao hit a great ball. Bogdan Bogdanović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Club 23's Liu Chao Xiao slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Liu Chao Xiao sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liu Chao Xiao went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Liu Chao Xiao kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. Liu Chao Xiao scored 4-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogdan Bogdanović to make the kick off. 62 minutes into the match, Club 23's Liu Chao Xiao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, Club 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Chodzinski to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Bogdan Bogdanović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Bogdan Bogdanović put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 77th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. The attack was good, but when Salvador Gisbert in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Liu Chao Xiao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Secada to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Bogdanović in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
