An unexpectedly hard shot by Themis Pepper in the 21st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charis Raftopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Vakoufi Utd's Charis Raftopoulos got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themis Pepper in the 35th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Korpetis came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Themis Pepper kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Vakoufi Utd's Konstantinos Tsevas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos Tsevas in the 56th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Korpetis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Andreas Korpetis took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Lautaro Mancebo scored 2-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charis Raftopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charis Raftopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes Vakoufi Utd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Lautaro Mancebo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Charis Raftopoulos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birkan Balıkçı, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Themis Pepper in the 82nd minute. Themis Pepper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. The supporters of Mexico booed when Vakoufi Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huang Tian Ao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charis Raftopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 92nd minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charis Raftopoulos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos Tsevas in the 96th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vakoufi Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
