Club 23's Sören Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. Nae Lalescu's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Bogdanović made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Sören Malmberg. Club 23's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Sören Malmberg in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club 23's attentive Nae Lalescu managed to snatch the ball when Primitivo Andino made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. After 71 played minutes Club 23 got a freekick which was hit by Druțu Daniel. Liu Chao Xiao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Liu Chao Xiao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Liu Chao Xiao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liu Chao Xiao, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Club 23's Sören Malmberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Club 23 from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Sören Malmberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
