Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th match minute, Fesport FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by He Chen Yong to maneuver through the defense. Marta Rey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 37th minute. With an all-out effort, Peru's Marta Rey threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. There was no doubt that Peru were the better team. Peru's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
