Emmanuel Reyes hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Chaine in the 17th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Milagros Fraga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrien Tanneau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Chaine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrien Tanneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of the match. Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrien Tanneau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. After 43 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrien Tanneau was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Theo Chassot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Eliseo Mina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adrien Tanneau saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Rafail Rusev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrien Tanneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 65th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maurice Crochard in the 67 minute of the game. After having played for 68 minutes, Guillaume Chaine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valette Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillaume Chaine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 73rd minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Adrien Tanneau managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valette Stars's Fabian Walme quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes, made in the 76th minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafail Rusev in the 78th minute of play. Adrien Tanneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 82nd minute of the match. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafail Rusev in the 85th minute of play. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Adrien Tanneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Armand Plaza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Peru were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
