Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabian Lundberg started the match with the kick off. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Stathis Konstantakis. 7 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elton John made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 12th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Elton John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jon-Erik Vedøy sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cheeky Nuts United's goalkeeper Elton John, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elton John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 22nd minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Cheeky Nuts United got a freekick which was hit by Theodor Heiberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elton John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elton John was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jon-Erik Vedøy.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elton John. Elton John yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Elton John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of play forced Cheeky Nuts United's goalkeeper Elton John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cheeky Nuts United's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cheeky Nuts United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Austad in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lundberg in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cheeky Nuts United's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elton John came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elton John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Lundberg's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Cheeky Nuts United's Elton John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Cheeky Nuts United from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Doctor Potass hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cheeky Nuts United's goalkeeper Elton John, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elton John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 92nd minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
