André Tunander kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Vissefjärda IF's Ulrik Granqvist managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walery Teofila got free with Julio Vera in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulrik Granqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Fridlund to make the kick off. Felix Montenegros short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Ulrik Granqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Fridlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ulrik Granqvist made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustín Saelices kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulrik Granqvist. That made the score 0-1 in the 60 minute of play. Vissefjärda IF's Ulrik Granqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Vissefjärda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Thedin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ulrik Granqvist made a huge save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Henry Hurtig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vissefjärda IF and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, one of Vissefjärda IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vissefjärda IF. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Vissefjärda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Fridlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. 龙雄鹏 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Fridlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
