Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Panțuru in the 18th minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Zambujal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match Putra Rewulu got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niels Henning ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Filip Panțuru advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 23rd minute.
