In the 20th minute, Milagros Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A nice corner shot did that Tiburcio Ledesma got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Niels Henning fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Putra Rewulu's protests and gave Niels Henning a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Putra Rewulu got a freekick which was hit by Niels Henning. Adrianus Tambunan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onur Ali Tulun in the 29th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Putra Rewulu's Adrianus Tambunan. Adrianus Tambunan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Filip Panțuru's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Rolando Noboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rolando Noboa stood somewhat misplaced when Filip Panțuru came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 37 minute. In the 43rd minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Adrianus Tambunan. Putra Rewulu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Putra Rewulu's Adrianus Tambunan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play. Honorato Zambujal kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Putra Rewulu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filip Panțuru to make the kick off. The supporters of Peru booed when Putra Rewulu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of play forced Putra Rewulu's goalkeeper Adrianus Tambunan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Adrianus Tambunan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of play. Putra Rewulu's Adrianus Tambunan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Putra Rewulu from getting a goal against them. Adrianus Tambunan came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrianus Tambunan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Filip Panțuru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Adrianus Tambunan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Putra Rewulu made a substitution. Hu Jie Rong replaced Filip Panțuru. Milagros Fraga kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The Putra Rewulu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
