But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Camilo Gisbert put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 14 minutes, ALYA FC's Yüksel Çelikhan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Julio Vera. In the 27th minute Yüksel Çelikhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Gong Cheng Yu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Cheng Yu having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gong Cheng Yu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gong Cheng Yu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yüksel Çelikhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Gong Cheng Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 62nd minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after ALYA FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 66th minute, Fazıl Canalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ALYA FC's Octavio Truylos was substituted for Ahmet Arif Ceberut. ALYA FC's Paşa Ali Tecelli was substituted for Yalçın Abdulhakimoğlu. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yüksel Çelikhan in the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Yüksel Çelikhan notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gong Cheng Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Yüksel Çelikhan made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paşa Ali Tecelli in the 83rd minute of play. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gong Cheng Yu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, ALYA FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
