Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ellis Hoskin. The crowd rose to their feet as Gabriel Martini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. In the 10th minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Garth Brough capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Garth Brough really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Garth Brough put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 18th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Lautaro Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Australian Youth Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. After 26th play minutes Garth Brough shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Garth Brough received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Garth Brough slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 29th minute. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Garth Brough showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 40th minute, Garth Brough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 9-0. Hugo Ferrant made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Jason Butterfield. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 45 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rufus Roach who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rufus Roach got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 47 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Garth Brough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garth Brough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Garth Brough made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. When Garth Brough came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Australian Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Brough couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Jason Butterfield got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. Australian Youth Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Axel Tasis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas did a great save. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Garth Brough made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. 75 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Garth Brough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 13-0 when Garth Brough sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Ellis Hoskin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Ellis Hoskin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Brough in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Australian Youth Academy players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
