Garth Brough took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Garth Brough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garth Brough went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes, Garth Brough made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Garth Brough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Brough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Garth Brough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Australian Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garth Brough to make the kick off. Garth Brough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. If Ellis Hoskin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Australian Youth Academy's attentive Rufus Roach managed to snatch the ball when Jose Sanz made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. Garth Brough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garth Brough in the 88th minute. Garth Brough received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacobo Nores came out and tried to block the shot, but Garth Brough slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 90th minute. Garth Brough who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
