Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 张旭傲 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 14 minutes into the match, the sword of Damocles's 巩天帆 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes 巩天帆 rounded Ecuador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 汪霆邦 in the 78th minute of the match. 汪霆邦 might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 汪霆邦 ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
