Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Puig scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dani Cochrane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dani Cochrane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Australian Youth Academy's goalie prevented a goal. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dani Cochrane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dani Cochrane was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Dani Cochrane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. In the 34th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Eliseo Noboa made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aaron Alcocer however managed to control. Eliseo Noboa scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dani Cochrane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Olliver Todman made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Jemmett Baba. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Dani Cochrane in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig threw the ball into play from the sideline. Australian Youth Academy's Jemmett Baba quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 92nd minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Cochrane was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aaron Alcocer, made in the 97th minute of the game.
