After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ganga Banga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes in the game Guillermo Mariano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Illescas. SS SuperSonics's Zachariasz Kaczucha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 10 minute of the game. Boguslaw Motowski kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tomas Illescas scored 1-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugon Lenertej, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Panasewicz in the 20th minute of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ganga Banga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes SS SuperSonics got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Rosén. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugon Lenertej breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Korneliusz Panasewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SS SuperSonics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szczepan Opat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ganga Banga in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match SS SuperSonics got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexander Rosén ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ganga Banga might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ganga Banga ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61st minute Ganga Banga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Korneliusz Panasewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SS SuperSonics's supporters rose to their feet, but Korneliusz Panasewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after SS SuperSonics's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Joshua Secada was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 71st minute Ganga Banga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugon Lenertej made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 81st minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugon Lenertej was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
