In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yellow Springs1860's goalkeeper 何弘锋, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 何弘锋 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 17th minute of play. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Hemza Belkheir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yazid Djamel fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yellow Springs1860's protests and gave Yazid Djamel a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Yellow Springs1860 got a freekick which was hit by Yazid Djamel. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 何弘锋 was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Panama played a much better game than Yellow Springs1860 and deserved their victory. The Yellow Springs1860 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
