In the 2nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Lucas Rolfsson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of play forced Älta BK's goalkeeper Mosinho Mos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Mosinho Mos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lucas Rolfsson came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Älta BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Rolfsson couldn't finish the play. Mosinho Mos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mosinho Mos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Älta BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Mosinho Mos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Älta BK's attentive Hans-Werner Probst managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Falkrans in the 36th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Älta BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Luca Zorita spun around in front of the goal 39 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Älta BK's goal. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. Leonardo Leoz made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Mancebo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Lukas Falkrans made the kick off in the second half. The referee showed Lorenzo Cazalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Älta BK's Javier Turi was substituted for Lukas Falkrans. Älta BK's Henning Gulliksson was substituted for Björn van der Doelen. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Alberto Tafalla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Henk Veerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk Veerman ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Veerman in the 90th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Veerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Henk Veerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Veerman came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Veerman in the 96th minute of play. Älta BK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
