Chinese CJ Youth Academy's David Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 4th minute of play. Jax Williamson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Günther Doty went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, Canada's David Abad threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rohan Watson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Chinese CJ Youth Academy's zone, Jan Dixon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Abad came out of the goal and Jan Dixon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 minutes of play, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Günther Doty made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jax Williamson was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Kjell Mattsson in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canada's Eric Hill. David Abad was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Jan Dixon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jan Dixon really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. A sloppy throw-in by Nate Mills in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Kjell Mattsson. Günther Doty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Dixon in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Abad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Dixon in the 29th minute of play forced Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalkeeper David Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Su Jian Jie came free, but Jax Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Günther Doty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Günther Doty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalkeeper David Abad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Dixon. Günther Doty took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jax Williamson. Jax Williamson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 44th match minute, Chinese CJ Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Günther Doty to maneuver through the defense. If Jan Dixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Günther Doty made a kick off. After some careless play in the Canada defense, Günther Doty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jax Williamson. The Canada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jax Williamson should have stopped the shot. If Richard Mccarthy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canada made a substitution. Filip Edwards replaced Koby Wright. David Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Filip Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Günther Doty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Abad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan Dixon went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Canada's Prince Anderson was substituted for Carter George. Canada's Theo Burton was substituted for Rohan Watson. Filip Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. David Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87thth minute of the game Jan Dixon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chinese CJ Youth Academy's David Abad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan Dixon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Abad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Canada's Jan Dixon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Abad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute of the match Jan Dixon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Abad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chinese CJ Youth Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
