Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wincent Trac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hardo Vatsar. RumpBell's Gustaw Kosakowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Fontirroig in the 14 minute of the game. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the 16th minute. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zenon Pysz went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
