After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, MILAN's Titas Ainis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Szymon Erland in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Witalis Kornaszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Szymon Erland firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Szymon Erland could save by the left post. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witalis Kornaszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Gao Feng Ning kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
