Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, UFC Mahmudie's Maxim Lupeanu got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Vrejiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camilo Franco in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Vrejiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Călin Agulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Călin Agulescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

With his leg Cristinel Vrejiu managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 73 played minutes UFC Mahmudie got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Furdui. When Jaime Cazalla came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cazalla couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Daniel Furdui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Vrejiu having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 94 minutes into the game, UFC Mahmudie's Adrian Antoniu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Uruguay were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
