Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Horaţiu Dijmărescu got the match started through his kick off. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Dijmărescu came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Liviu Bulcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Olympic CF's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dacian Cristoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Cristoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dacian Cristoiu. Dacian Cristoiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dacian Cristoiu. Olympic CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Horaţiu Dijmărescu sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Cristoiu having to make a save. Dacian Cristoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dacian Cristoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Dacian Cristoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Olympic CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Stig-Ove Kilström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ciprian Minteuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute of play forced Olympic CF's goalkeeper Dacian Cristoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Cristoiu having to make a save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Cristoiu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Olympic CF's Pompiliu Ghiondea got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Cristoiu having to interfere. Daniel Zorita, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ciprian Minteuan's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciprian Minteuan helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Olympic CF got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Minteuan. After having played for 78 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Olympic CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
