Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Östersunds FK's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Niklas Rudkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niklas Rudkvist having to make a save. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Niklas Rudkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The crowd rose to their feet as Östersunds FK's Ragnar Vennersten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ragnar Vennersten had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Ragnar Vennersten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save.

Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Vennersten in the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niklas Rudkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. When Ivar Ivarsson fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Östersunds FK's protests and gave Ivar Ivarsson a yellow card for diving instead. Ivar Ivarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The Östersunds FK fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Östersunds FK's Ragnar Vennersten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 85th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragnar Vennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Östersunds FK had won after a very even match.
