Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. Ivo Guterres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. In the 10th minute of the match, Caio Sampaio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After taking down the ball on SC Freiburg 09's corner Mehmet Ferit İsmet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 19th minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abílio Passos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. SC Freiburg 09's Abílio Passos came free and shot a quick shot against goal 19 minutes in the game, fortunately Julio Vera had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Ivo Guterres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ivo Guterres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Raul Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Freiburg 09's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Caio Sampaio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abílio Passos in the 65th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes of play, SC Freiburg 09's Abílio Passos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abílio Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivo Guterres came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leal in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ecuador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Freiburg 09 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
