Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Severino Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severino Bueno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Bueno. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. If Severino Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Zahovič came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatko Zahovič, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Tanti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Severino Bueno sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Zlatko Zahovič recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Zlatko Zahovič showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Bueno.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Aaron Tanti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 55th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the game, Eleven Young Elephants's Zlatko Zahovič nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Eleven Young Elephants's Aaron Tanti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Eleven Young Elephants from getting a goal against them. Severino Bueno took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Eleven Young Elephants's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Tanti came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 79th minute Zlatko Zahovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fabio Savona fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eleven Young Elephants's protests and gave Fabio Savona a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Fabio Savona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85thth minute of the game Severino Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aaron Tanti. The goal made the score 5-2. Fabio Savona was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Eleven Young Elephants getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Fabio Savona hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Bueno in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Eleven Young Elephants's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
