The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Kutalp Hatemoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kuzey FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. A collision led to Kuzey FK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kutalp Hatemoğlu hit a great ball. Kuzey FK's Hasan Ali Akatay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 13th minute. Hasan Ali Akatay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute of the match. Hasan Ali Akatay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Zorita in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 94th minute of play forced Kuzey FK's goalkeeper Hasan Ali Akatay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Kuzey FK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
