In the 9th minute Delfim Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel-Andrés Lapadula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Regueira having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Lionel-Andrés Lapadula ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Flávio Regueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Manuel Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. A hard shot 30 in the game by Lionel-Andrés Lapadula from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Manuel Teixeira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Lionel-Andrés Lapadula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Salvador Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delfim Matias went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Delfim Matias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel-Andrés Lapadula in the 64th minute of play. Delfim Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seleção de Aleijados were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Teixeira took the corner. Seleção de Aleijados's Rodolfo Borba was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Regueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 82 minutes Seleção de Aleijados's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Regueira having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Lapadula notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
