Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by István Hoffman in the 26th minute of play. The corner led Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Grzegorz Jankowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 33 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Grzegorz Jankowski who took care of the corner kick. Fabian Arendarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Arendarski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Zagłębie Dąbrowskie getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Grzegorz Jankowski hit a great ball. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Fabian Arendarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Fabian Arendarski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. István Hoffman was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Hoffman in the 51st minute of the match. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Arendarski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömür Seyfeddin in the 70th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. István Hoffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Kon came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duran Mukerrem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 82nd minute of the match Otto Alberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabian Arendarski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duran Mukerrem's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Kon, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
