In the 3rdth minute Moises Gayoso beautifully dribbled past Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. Mihnea Plăcintă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Gayoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. The corner ended in Quintin Gomar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Plăcintă came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Llorienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihnea Plăcintă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Uribe in the 18th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Quintin Gomar ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalkeeper Mihnea Plăcintă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mihnea Plăcintă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihnea Plăcintă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Uribe came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luisinho Uribe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Uribe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Emmanuel Reyes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 the free kick. Luisinho Uribe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisinho Uribe to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihnea Plăcintă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Staffan Ekegren got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 65th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Mihnea Plăcintă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 from getting a goal against them. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 made a substitution. Juanfran Villalcazar replaced Victorio Otoniel. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Truylos Gonzalez was substituted for Damian Budianu. Emmanuel Reyes got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Milagros Fraga. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Truylos Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Siro Llorienzo kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 96th match minute, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Llorienzo to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
